About WM.C Hosting

Do you need hosting? Do you need cheap hosting? Or maybe you need free hosting? Whatever it is, you'll find it here. My name is Sheryl, and I own the websites you'll see listed on this page. :) Whatever questions you may have, run it by me, and I'll do my best to answer them!

This is not a 'for-profit' service. Please be assured that my finances are extremely in order! Any profit gained from this goes solely back into helping with the webhosting bills, which are more than in order, definitely. I have two reseller accounts, and a dedicated shared account which all have plenty of extra resources to share with everyone. I love hosting, and have just recently ventured into paid hosting services. I try my best, and hope your hosting experience is a good one. :)

When will my account be activated?
All accounts are set up manually, which will take up to 72hours to be activated from the time your payment clears.

What is your refund policy?
All accounts are covered with a 14-day money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your hosting service, simply email me with your username and domain, and you will be granted a full refund. Please refer to WMC Hosting Policies for more details.

What types of payment do you accept?
Paypal, Local bank transfers, local money orders and concealed cash are accepted forms of payments at the moment. If you're located within the United States, the payment options are available to you too. If you're located outside Singapore or the US, please note that only Paypal is accepted. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Do you place advertisements on my website?
Regardless of your hosting plan, there will be no advertisements in any form on your website.

Can I upgrade/downgrade my account?
Certainly! Simply send an email, or a message, with your current plan and the plan you wish to change to. Depending on the number of months left for the current plan, you will receive a hosting credit to offset the upgrade cost, or a partial refund if downgrading.

Do you do standalone domain registrations?
Yes I can! Your domain will be registered at Namecheap.com. However, I only register the following extensions: .com/.net/.org/.info. All domains are S$15 and is good for one year. Please refer to the helpdesk for more details.

Subdomain Hosting

Subdomain hosting is free, and is provided for people who are looking for unrestricted space to improve their webdesign skills, and to move out of free webhosting sites (and their really ugly ads and millions! of restrictions, ew). If you do not have your own domain, you may apply for free hosting on a variety of domains I own. My requirements are lenient, and easy to meet! :D

If you are accepted as a hostee of WM.Com, you are free to choose a subdomain on the following domains:

• you.little-android.net
• you.wild-angels.org

And the goodies! The goodies are always important. :D

• Fair share of resources (all my accounts have minimum 1gig of space. You'll have lots of space to develop your website.)
• Unmetered Bandwidth (within reason, as long as you are not uploading server crippling nonsense.)
• Funky domains to choose from! :D
• Emails, mySQL, Forwarders (on request)
• Your own secured FTP account
• Free installations from either Fantastico or Softalicious (depending on your server).

The relatively short requirements for your hosting to be approved. It's short, sweet and to the point. Who likes reading requirements, anyway?

• Good, understandable English. You may have your website in another language, provided there is an English alternative.
• Understanding of HTML and CSS.
• A website that is viewable in Google Chrome or Firefox.

You do not require to have amazing, awesome, epic designs, nor do you require to link back to me (whatever for! People can figure that out on their own...), or keep in touch with me, or you know, all those junk. It's not about the design, it's about the content! Use premades for all I care, just show me that you really want to be hosted. :)

Domain Hosting

All domain hosting plans come with Cpanel, Softaculous (one click install of many scripts!), unlimited features (subdomains, mysql databases, emails etc), 2 addon/parked domains, and personal email based support.

Hosting here guarantees you a minimum 98% uptime, not including scheduled downtimes. This may be a small hosting business, but it does not mean you get less than reliable support. Any queries will be replied to within 48hours (I do get notifications on my cellphone, so I try to reply as soon as possible)!

Why get paid hosting when there's lots of freebies provided too?
Well, if the free packages suit the amout of resources you want, then you're free to stick with them, of course! Paid packages are only for people who wish to maintain their own domain choice, and have much more space to play around with. Plus, you get a free domain for the life of your account! :)

Annual prices include a free top level domain. If you have your own domain, please indicate so in the order form, and you will receive a $10 discount off the annual price.

From 16 June 2009 onwards, I will be utilizing a Help Desk based ticket system. It's very much faster, and it is guaranteed that I will see you email. This will also come in handy when I rope in a friend to help me in the future, if the number of hostees suddenly increase exponentially. Acceptable Content

By choosing WM.C as your host, the space provided can only be used for lawful purposes (i.e., does not break any laws of either Singapore, or your own country), and no content which consumes large amounts of server resources (i.e. File Sharing / Uploading websites). Sites found abusing these terms will be terminated without notice.

Acceptable Material

There are to be none of the following found on your hosting account:
a) Any type of illegal content such as warez
b) Pornography or non-artistic nude images
c) Obscene, disturbing images and content
d) Hateful, bullying, harassment, or harmful content
e) Stolen content
f) Outdated scripts or software
g) Video or media files such as mp3 without prior permission.
h) Proxy scripts
i) IRC Bots/Scanners/Web Spiders
j) PHPizabi and YaBB Forums scripts are absolutely NOT allowed to be on our server

Should your account be found to have uploaded any of such material, your account will be suspended and material removed from the server.

Unmetered Bandwidth

Bandwidth provided is not unlimited, but merely unmetered. This means that you are free to use as much of it as you deem necessary, provided that you are not leeching large amounts of available server resources. Should your account be found to have used crippling amounts of resources in a month, your account will be suspended for the duration of the month to allow resources be freed up for other users.

Continuation of misuse of bandwidth (more than 3 suspensions) will result in the termination of your contract.

Use of mail

Transmission of any unsolicited commerical/bulk e-mail or electronic messages ('spamming') that had not been requested by or given permission to accept by the reciever(s) will result in immediate termination of service.

Free hosting

WM.C provides selective free hosting services to budding webmasters. There is no obligation to link back to your parent domain, nor is there any obligation to keep in touch. However, if you wish to cancel your free hosting account, please contact me at least 5 days in advance. Sites which have been unused for more than 3 months are subject to deletion without prior notice.

All free hosting applications are taken on a first come first serve basis. I have the right to reject any application without any explanation.

Backups

You are also responsible for backing up your own data. While I do backups of accounts on a weekly basis, I do not guarantee that all the latest content will be backed up should the server crash. For all server maintanence and scheduled downtime, I will back up all data one day before the date. Should there be any server maintenance planned, you will be alerted to 3 days in advance whenever possible.

Free Domains

As all paid hosting plans come with a free domain, please note that all free domains will remain in my possession until the termination of your account. Your domain will only be transferred to you if you are no longer hosted by WMC Hosting, and you have had your account (in good standing) for a period of more than 6 months, or 180 days. All transfer fees will be paid for by the you. Free domains prior to 1 April 2009 were registered under GoDaddy.com, domains registered or renewed from 1 April 2009 will be registered at Namecheap.com.

However, if your account was terminated due to any violation of policies, your domain will not be returned to you, and will remain in my possession.

Refunds / Money back guarantee

All plans come with a 14-day money back guarantee, no questions asked. However, there is no guarantee that you will receive a refund (full or partial) after this grace period. Accommodations may be made for you, but cannot guarantee any form of monetary compensation in any circumstance.

Hosting Environment

Accounts on the server that use zero (0) megabytes of bandwidth during a full month cycle will be terminated by 5th day of every month. This process will start on the 3rd of each month and will continue until completed.

Accounts that are not maintained properly are very vulnerable to software exploits. This process is in place to ensure a stable server environment.

It’s not advised to use your accounts as units of storage, especially if thats the sole purpose of your account, and only if you do not plan to touch this account.

Privacy Policy

Your details will not be distributed outside of WM.com hosting. Your account information will be used solely for support and contact (regarding your hosting/domain/website) purposes only. Your information will not be distributed, traded, sold or given out under any circumstances; they will be kept safe and secure throughout your hosting period, and removed totally after.
